Extra Curricular Activities

We encourage our students to become fully engaged in the life of the Academy through participation in a number of clubs and activities. We also believe in the use of student voice to further develop the Academy.

Students are given the opportunities to be elected onto the Student Council, actively working with students within the Academy and beyond. Leadership responsibilities are given to students who can get involved as Arts Ambassadors, Peer Mentors, Prefects, Eco Committee members, form/sports captains and many more to develop their leadership skills and personal qualities.

The Academy also offers a wide range of out of hours clubs and activities to support all of our students’ needs. These include:

• Arts Clubs: dance, drama, orchestra, band, choir, gifted and talented art master classes

• Sports Clubs: football, hockey, rugby, gymnastics and trampolining

• Breakfast Club: reading and social activities

• Homework Club: quiet study, coursework completion and supported study

 

 

 

 

The most enjoyable aspect of coming to the Academy is all the arts activities you can get involved in. My favourite subject is Music because the teachers are excellent and give you great support.

 

I also really enjoy the musical performances we put on. As well as the extra-curricular performance work,  I’m also a member of the Academy football team and feel proud

of representing the Academy.
