Science

The science department offers students the opportunity to discover the world of Chemistry, Biology and Physics. We encourage active learning and during lessons our students are given practical demonstrations and investigate findings by carrying out the experiments for themselves.

Through active participation, our students gain a greater understanding of the sciences. Well equipped science labs allow our students to take part in a range of practical experiments and investigations to enhance their learning and increase their engagement with the subject. We also encourage the making of podcasts, which is a useful and fun way for students to learn and record their studies, whilst interacting with each other through group discussions.

 

 

I love using the Academy’s computers because of all the great software you get to use, but my favourite subject is definitely Science. It’s great when you get to use chemicals in all the practical experiments! My favourite experience so far was the trip to Drayton Manor as it was such good fun. When I leave the Academy I’m hoping to be a chef in the armed forces.
