Anti-Bullying at OSCA
At OSCA we believe that everyone should feel safe and supported both inside school and out. We work hard through our rich and diverse curriculum to educate youngsters in anti-bullying and the impact that their behaviours could have on another person.
Unfortunately bullying can occur in any environment at any time, so at OSCA we ensure that all staff and students can recognise bullying as it happens, and that they can deal with this swiftly and appropriately. The Anti-Bullying ethos of the Academy is bolstered through Assemblies, our PSHE curriculum and through work in the many subjects within the wider curriculum. To add strength to this message, when appropriate we invite external visitors who work with students to help them understand how their behaviour impacts others.
We promote tolerance of others, and we believe that personal differences should not only be accepted, but they should be celebrated in our rich and diverse community.
Our hard work in the field of Anti-Bullying has recently been acknowledged, and we are extremely pleased to have achieved the Bronze Level Anti-Bullying Quality Mark. We are proud of this achievement are we are looking forward to further developing our academy’s anti-bullying work to achieve the Silver Award.
Should you have any concerns about bullying then please contact your child’s house team for support.
